Co-Chairs – Sarah Nakaso & Jenna Yamaguma

Jenna is a Bay Area native, and got her B.A. in Intensive Psychology at the University of California, Santa Cruz. After undergrad, Jenna worked for Seneca Center, a mental health agency, for 3 years before pursuing her MSW. Jenna obtained her Masters in Social Work (with a concentration in Health/Mental Health and School Social Work/PPSC Credential) from San Jose State University in 2014, and was very active in the Social Work Graduate Student Organization, holding positions such as Fundraising Chair and Co-President. Jenna currently works as a clinician for EMQ FamiliesFirst and is working towards becoming a Licensed Clinical Social Worker.

Sarah was raised in Hawaii and recently returned to the Bay Area which she was born. She earned a Bachelor Degree in Social Work in 2012 from the University of Hawaii-Manoa with a concentration in Children, Youth, and Family, and worked with at-risk youth. She then obtained her Masters in Social Work in 2014 from San Jose State University with a focus in Health/Mental Health and School Social Work certificate. She was secretary for San Jose State School of Social Work Graduate Student Organization. Sarah is an Associate Clinical Social Worker working towards becoming a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. She has been working for a year as a case manager at HomeFirst in San Jose for the Supportive Services for Veteran Families program.

Public Relationship – Alex Yuen

Alex obtained his Masters in Social Worker in 2014. His professional interest is to work with individuals with complicated medical issues and developmental disabilities, and their families.
